28 December league report
There was a resumption of play in the Magic Touch division One and a 4-2 win be Vagabonds over Taylormade saw them regain top position in the league at the close of the first half. Coin Tourgis beat Wrinkleys, and while this elevated the winners to equal second, it also pushed Wrinkleys to the bottom. Country Gang and Grouville, who had each been in mid league on 6 points, drew to remain locked together. Outlaws showed the form they produced in previous seasons with a resounding 6-0 victory against Les Hirondelles.
Division two have played two further rounds, on 21 & 28 Dec. Leaders Occidentals beat Falcons, then had their bye which should have allowed Wednesday Mob to reduce the lead. However, although Wed Mob beat Fleur de Lys on 21 Dec, they suffered their first loss to Bean around the block a week later and are therefore still two points behind the leaders. Bean around the Block’s win has boosted them into joint third with Admirals.
Fleur de Lys is improving each week and on 28 Dec they beat Liberators 5-1. Grantez’s 5-1 win against St Mary has improved their position from 6th to 5th.
