Magic Touch summer league report 2 July 2009
All the leading teams of each league won this week, so no changes in the prime positions. However there were some moves by teams lower down the tables.
Vagabonds took a clean sweep against St Mary but remain in second place as Taylormade also had a win; 5-1 over 3rd placed Grantez. Having won their first match last week, Grouville secured two more points this week due to a 5-1 defeat of Outlaws.
Division Two leaders Country Gang had a bye allowing Admirals to close the gap to one point by beating Liberators 4-2.
Pioneers and Les Hirondelles both won to close the table up and there is now just 1 point between the remaining 5 teams; the second half of the season will be closely fought!
The battle between two of the new teams in Division three was won by Kerplunk who beat De La Salle 5-1 and take over third place from them, just one point behind Fleur de Lys who had their bye. Wednesday Mob’s 6-0 defeat of Blues & Whites takes them up to fourth place.
NO LEAGUES MATCHES NEXT WEEK – as it is the Semi finals of the JPA knock out cup!
